Industrial Kitchen, Coffs Harbour

One of the many projects nearing completion across Faith Family Church is the Industrial Kitchen being renovated and installed at the Coffs Harbour location. The previous kitchen, which had been utilised for food preparation and service as a canteen and coffee station since its inception, has been upgraded significantly - here are its features:

• The final design is based on a workflow form handwash on entry to a food preparation area and servery with a commercial 900mm wide, 6 burner gas stove and oven with a 1.2m commercial range hood.

• All the bench tops are stainless steel, fabricated locally.

• There is a microwave in the corner above the bench.

• Under the benches, there are two under-bench refrigerators with 774L total capacity.

• To the left of the stove is the receiving area for dirty dishes. Stainless benches, double sink with commercial rinse hose and a 90-second cycle commercial dishwasher under the bench.

• There is a scape hole in the bench for food scraps with a rubbish bin under the bench.

• Following around for the “scullery area” is a “dry” bench and overhead cabinets for storage, which were also fabricated locally.

• There is a pantry with three internal drawers and fridge alcove complete with Samsung domestic upright fridge / freezer (for day-to-day use).

• Walls are tiled with 600 x 300 matte white tiles and epoxy grout (commercial standard).

• The floor is marine grade vinyl.

• The windows have been replaced with 3-stacker sliding windows with fly screens.

• The final touch will be the timber architrave around the windows and solid hardwood servery bench window sills.

• The only item to be re-used will be the air conditioner.
