An update on the developments of one of our projects across Faith Family.

Response to Floods in NSW Far North Coast

In place of our regular Projects Update and INC News, we have decided to dedicate this article to highlighting the amazing teams that have been supporting and strengthening the communities directly impacted by the recent natural disaster of the February-March Floods. On the ground, we have been happy to be able to support Pastor Paul Jurjens of Grafton INC’s Heartlands Church while he leads the organization and operation of Global Care response teams in Casino.

As well as the great work Paul is heading up in Casino at the moment, our amazing Pastor Jenny Brewer at Faith Family Church Taree is also connecting with organisations such as GIVIT (a national online not-for-profit organisation connecting need in the community with public and corporate generosity) to assist people that have been directly affected in the Lismore-Casino region. Additionally, our generous team at Foodcare Grafton have been supporting the Casino community with access to goods, water and supplies for those in need. Take a look below at some of the affected areas in the Northern NSW region and what some of our Global Care response teams have been able to accomplish so far!

Last Saturday and Monday were the first two trips offered by Faith Family Church Coffs Harbour for anyone who would like to volunteer their time and effort in Casino for the day, assisting our Global Care response teams in cleaning up homes and enabling members of the affected community to be able to restore aspects of their homes to a reasonable quality. If you are interested in supporting these efforts in any way or interested in volunteering your time, Faith Family Church Coffs Harbour is sending another fleet of people for Saturday, 26th March from the early morning with an expected return time of approximately 5:00pm.
