Faith Family Church Taree is located at 147 Cowper Street, Taree and has recently completed renovations that initially began with a QuikFit in late 2019. In regards to facilities, Faith Family Church Taree’s Main Auditorium comfortably seats over 100 people, equipped with various multimedia devices and rigs. The Foyer has recently been renovated to include a large feature wall which outlines the vast history that Faith Family Church Taree has experienced since its inception. Two rooms, each designed to facilitate Youth and Kids respectively, are located down Kids Lane, which also houses a storage / office space and a shared staff room. An extensive Cafe and Kitchen, combined with a large outdoor recreational space and playground aid in allowing Faith Family Church Taree to serve the local community to the best of its ability. Connected to Faith Family Church Taree is their Global Care branch of Foodcare, a facility that will be featured in greater detail in the future.

Alongside these facilities, Faith Family Church Taree is awaiting progression for the installation of their new sign, allowing them to clearly display their availability to the community. Founded in 1980, Faith Family Church Taree finds roots that trail all the way back to the home of David and Trish Macdonald in Central Landsdowne after a youth camp. During this time, there was a great move of the Spirit as people’s lives were radically transformed and the church soon moved to Landsdowne Public Hall. From there, the church would go on to rent the Sailing Club and the local Saxby’s drink factory in order to facilitate attendees, though it quickly became apparent that a larger building was needed as the church continued to grow at an amazing rate. In 1984, the current building now utilised was purchased and became officially known as Taree Christian Outreach Centre. From Taree, over 35 churches were started throughout New South Wales and experienced multiple moves of God, significantly impacting the communities that surrounded them. Taree Christian Outreach Centre was known as a church of faith and would have their official grand opening in 1985 with 480 people attending.

In 1989, David and Trish Macdonald would hand over the leadership of Taree COC to Ron and Lyn Jones as they went on to pastor a church in Sydney. They would continue to pastor the church until 2011, when Wayne and Kathy Tyrie began to lead the Taree community. During this time, Wayne and Kathy focused heavily on the local community and Global Care outreach. Their amazing ministry would continue in Taree until 2019, when Rick and Jenny Brewer took on the leadership role after moving from Citipointe North in May. Rick and Jenny arrived in Taree just in time to face drought, bushfires and floods; major events that were tackled with the help of Global Care Taree as volunteers assisted families that had lost homes and been affected by the devastating fires. At the time, Global Care had been able to fundraise and provide over $60,000 to affected families. During this time, the Taree location, now in partnership with Harbour Church (the previous name of Faith Family Church Coffs Harbour), were in the process of a QuickFit - a major renovation of the entire building as new children’s rooms and a new Auditorium began construction. That same year, both Coffs Harbour and Taree would begin the process of rebranding to the new name of Faith Family Church.

In 2020, Taree purchased the formerly known “Happy Rompers” daycare, now known as Faith Family Early Learning Centre. The land that the daycare had been built on had originally been owned by the church, so the reacquisition of the property was a fulfillment of many prayers to see it connected back to the church.
