Recap - Coffs Harbour 40th Anniversary

The first weekend of June saw the celebration of Coffs Harbour’s 40th anniversary as a church! With many friends and family from near and far, past and present, God’s faithfulness through His people at Christian Outreach Centre Coffs Harbour, Harbour Church, Coffs Harbour INC, and Faith Family Church was championed throughout the weekend’s festivities.

Friday night saw Future Youth Coffs Harbour hosting their major event for the term: “White Night”! With booming praise and exciting all-in games, the night concluded with 14 responses to a special message from Ps Clayton Parker! A major congratulations to our Future Youth Coffs Harbour team for their efforts on the night.

Saturday morning was launched with a tranquil, relaxing Prayer Walk in the morning along the beach, followed up by a fun Round of Golf at Pacific Bay Resort! A fun time was had by all in attendance at both events, as friends caught up and enjoyed some rejuvenating time together.

Saturday night was the main attraction of this special weekend - the Homecoming Celebration! People from all over Australia travelled to gather together and celebrate the past 40 years of Christian Outreach Centre / International Network of Churches in Coffs Harbour. As well as many other amazing guests and friends, our previous Senior Pastors Kevin and Diane Matthewson made the trip and partnered with Ps Phil and Justine Campbell and Ps Ross Abraham to begin the night’s festivities in prayer and encouragement. A wonderful night was had by all and memories shared from the night about the past 40 years are still in conversation today.

Sunday morning was a very special church service, with exuberant praise and worship harkening back to the not-so-distant past and a timely message from our INC National Chairman, Ps Ross Abraham. Overall, a fantastic combined service at our Coffs Harbour location with others joining via the Online Service!

Collectively, Coffs Harbour’s 40th Anniversary was celebrated with gratitude, excitement, fun, and fellowship! We, as a Faith Family, cannot thank enough the people who chose to volunteer and give their time, their talents, and their finances to help in making the Homecoming weekend as grand as it was - you are the reason our 40th anniversary was so great! A big thank you also to all those who went out of their way (for some, far out of their way) to simply attend - your presence made this event so much better and the celebration would not have been as special without you.
