Coffee In The Courtyard
Coffee in the Courtyard is a social gathering that has been running at the Coffs Harbour location since March 2021. Starting as a solution to a need for fellowship and friendship for many congregants and members of the local community post-COVID, Coffee in the Courtyard is a place where, according to founder Evelynne Judkins, “you can come for a cuppa, some delicious morning tea and build new friendships in a very welcoming environment. It’s a great place to connect with like-minded people - it’s where great friendships can build and grow.”
“Providing a space for adults (mainly finding interest from adults over 50 years), Coffee in the Courtyard is a place where, every week, you can expect great coffee, food, and great company. We love to chat and laugh and tell stories of how our week has been. We are a very down-to-earth group of people who love each other’s company. If you have any creative hobbies, you can bring them along, or you are just welcome to come as you are. It’s also a great place to bring your friends and build relationships with family that may not necessarily come to church.”
Evelynne and her husband, Don, get excited to run Coffee in the Courtyard every week, as they love to connect with others and to help others build friendships.

“In terms of stories of people that have been positively impacted by Coffee in the Courtyard, we’ve seen many, but one that comes to mind is one particular friend who doesn’t regularly come to Sunday services, but loves coming to Coffee in the Courtyard - he loves the friendships and conversations that he has with others and he feels quite at home when he comes.”
In Evelynne’s words, Coffee in the Courtyard is a great place to start introducing friends and family that don’t yet know Christ to a warm Christian environment built for relationships.
